Sunday; Sunny Weather

Mmm, the beautiful sunny weather that I left behind in Brussels have been shining upon Denmark for now the past three days and I am loving any moment of it as if I was a sun-deprived Dane (that I actually am!). It has been so great that I have finally my garden chairs and table from the creepy basement, which means I can enjoy the weather even more… unless the weather forecasters are right with their predictions of snow for next weekend. I sincerely hope they are wrong… snow in May is beyond crazy, even in terms of Danish weather. But I dare not think of that too much as the day in general has been great.

I did absolutely no studying, but started the day with downloading a couple of songs and I put on my iPod before heading off to the fitness center at the university. The beauty of a fitness center at university is, not many students or employees come Sunday morning to workout. So I had most of it to myself. I did my routine and then headed back to my apartment to just clean a bit and do some grocery shopping to last me some days, before hitting the shower.

After that… I really have done nothing but enjoying the beautiful weather. My body (and mind) didn’t want to do anything, and this time I actually listened by settling down on a garden chair and enjoying the weather, while working on my tan (my many freckles are showing, yay!)

In these moments I am on the couch, enjoying a glass of rosé wine and… simply continuing with relaxation as I know I have to do some studying tomorrow. But that is tomorrow…

Have you been enjoying this Sunday? Have the weather been great where you are?

Until next time,
Mia ♥

Sunday; Outfit of the Day – The Oscars

Now, you shouldn’t expect to see many OOTD posts as I will probably only do them when I am actually doing/attending something exciting... and that isn’t that often, I am afraid to admit. However, today I am attending something exciting – the viewing of the Oscars! Why does that sound so much more exciting in my head? But yes, I am going to watch the Oscars with the other English students.

I have opted for my grey and black Saint Tropez dress, which can be dressed up and down depending on the accessories, and paired it with my Sofie Schnoor glitter sneakers. I bought them last year, but didn’t get to wear them much as I bought them rather late in the season… They are good quality sneakers and they are comfortable to walk in. All my necessary things like purse, phone, keys, etc. will be in my trustworthy (and beloved) black Decadent handbag. As for make-up I have decided to keep it simple and really close to my daily routine as I will probably be home around 6 AM, but I have decided to add a red lipstick to the look. You really can’t go wrong with red lipstick… and it is very Oscars appropriate.

Details,
Base: MaxFactor’s Weightless Foundation SPF 10 in number light ivory 40 (it is suitable for sensitive skin and if you have big pores) and Missha’s Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 in number 21.
Concealer: MaxFactor’s Mastertouch under-eye concealer in number 303 ivory (not recommendable!).
Mascara: Clinique’s high definition lashes in number 01 black and MaxFactor’s 2000 Calorie dramatic volume in black (it is good if you don’t have long lashes, but instead many lashes).
Blush: Rimmel London’s Power Blush in number 001 Santa Rose.
Lipstick: MAC lipstick (matte) in Russian Red (it is the classic red lipstick).

Are you going to watch the Oscars? Who are you hoping will win?

Until next time,
Mia

Sunday; Studying & February Weather

Reading, reading, reading... and of course, staying hydrated.

Sunday has never been a favourite weekday of mine, if only for the reason it is located right next to Monday and that can’t be considered that positive. I have never been on good terms with Mondays… oh no, far from. But nevertheless, Sunday is a well-deserved day off where things I have put off over the week can be managed and handled in whatever way I find suiting at a given time.

Today wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, but went right after the above description of my typical Sunday.

Despite the Danish weather looking rather sunny for the month of February, I regretfully couldn’t find time to actually take a walk around in it as there was quite the amount of university readings that had to be taken care off. Four courses of readings… You may imagine me sighing tiredly at that sentence. However, I have always preferred reading everything for my courses in weekends instead of during the week as that allows for less worrying and for daily unexpected adventures. What those daily unexpected adventures consist of besides grocery shopping I have absolutely no idea, but I like the sound of it… The life of a university student isn’t always exciting or interesting.

As I finally(!) finished reading for almost all my courses, the Danish weather proved its ‘loveliness’ by having opted for rain instead of sun. I honestly can’t say I am that surprised; so, instead of the lovely walk I had imagined I think I will find my way to the kitchen and then later for the couch as my current diy project is waiting on me. There might come a blog post on the diy project when I have completed it.

How has your Sunday been? Have you enjoyed the February weather or simply stayed inside with a good cup of tea?

Until next time,
Mia
