Just in: Tea Time And Thrift Shopping
A little collection of the things I have bought for my
apartment lately that I thought would be nice to share and perhaps give some
inspiration.
Lately I have been quite into tea as my throat is hurting so as I stumbled upon the jar I just knew I had to leave with it. The tea leaves stored in it is green tea with lemon and ginger. I had searched for the perfect mug and found it in a little shop in my town; it is handmade and in the prettiest of green-blue-ish hues. It is so unique and different, but also is the right size for a cup of tea.
Obviously, I use the oval dish from the seagull service quite differently from what was intended. I spotted it in a thrift shop and couldn’t leave it as I knew (and still know quite well) that the seagull service without gold is difficult to find. I always buy a little when I spot some to create my own collection. While it takes time to build a collection, I enjoy the experience of looking, thrift shopping and the treasure hunting.
The last item is a green jar. I have a certain liking for coloured glass, which I have learned from my mother, so I couldn’t possibly leave it behind. It can be used for everything, though for now it stores my candles.
Tea jar from Bahne.
Tea mug from Gøttsch Keramik.
Tea infuser from local super marked.
Big oval dish from the Seagull service by Bing & Grøndal, bought in thrift shop.
Big green jar bought in thrift shop.
What have you purchased lately for your home?
Until next time,
Mia.

Just in: Make-up, Computer & Tea Towel
Yes, I have realized that these things are quite
the mix. Nevertheless, they have entered my life – some for a longer time than
others – and will be considered a precious item to me until they mess with me.
Obviously and undoubtedly, the computer will be the thing to mess with me at
some point as computers always do that. Damn it! But hopefully that will be a
good while away, so I shall shift my focus…
*shifts focus*
The deer printed tea towel isn’t going to stay
in my apartment for long, as it is an intended birthday present for my little
brother. Admittedly, there is some time till his birthday comes around, but it
was reduced in price and I like being a little ahead of things as my brother is
so difficult to buy presents for. Why are guys so difficult to be presents for?
I really don’t get.
As for make-up products, I bought Revlon’s
colorburst in number 040 rendezvous and Sleek Blush By 3 in number 367 Lace on
Amazon. Both products are in such beautiful colours… *sighs at the prettiness*
The colours make me super impatient to try them, although not so impatient that
I can be bothered to put on make-up in the weekend just to try them out. Sorry,
but my skin needs make-up free days. None of the products can be purchased in
Denmark – Sleek is a UK product, I believe, and Revlon… yeah, why aren’t you
coming to Denmark? So one is forced to turn to Amazon, although I adore
shopping at Amazon… Products are cheaper than in Denmark and their customer
service is seriously the best.
I had intended to include two more products, but
my package from eChemist hasn’t showed up yet so I decided against mentioning
them. Maybe at another point?
What have you purchased resently? Anything that
makes you sigh contentedly by just staring at it?
Until next time,
Mia ♥

Interior/Home Stuff: A Tiny Haul
![]() |
| My apartment is happy, I dare say. |
As a common occurrence I didn’t have any intentions of
spending money on anything new for my apartment, but it just kinda happened…
whoops? It is the curse of being a girl, I swear!
… Oh sod it, I love everything.
My old placemats (table/dinner mats if you want) from
Södahl were getting a quite dirty due to the felt texture of them, where I
can’t get stains off them. I have loved them dearly for almost four years, but
all good things must come to an end as dirty placemats aren’t that charming to
show that in front of guests. Instead, I ended up buying four new ones from the
local super market. Cork may seem really boring and perhaps a bit old fashion,
I will even confess my parents have owned their cork trivets for as all as I
can remember, but I see the material as retro… and I do like squares.
The sign “age doesn’t matter when you have got style”
is by the Danish company Ib Laursen who makes so many pretty and cute things. I
desperately want to fill my kitchen with everything they make, but unfortunately
I can’t afford all that. So for the time being I settled with the sign as I
couldn’t leave it and found it amusing (and true). It has found its place with
the pictures I have on the wall… and I shall smile from time to time.
And lastly, the star decoration… I am a big sucker for
stars, so it had to leave with me. There was no other option, really. I like
that it is very neutral with its wooden beads, making it fit into many
apartments, and yet unique with its form. Unfortunately, I don’t know what
company it is from; I thought it was Ib Laursen, but I can’t find it in their
catalogue for 2014. However, it can be created as a diy thing without much
effort… wooden beads, hobby wire and a sting is all you really need.
What has the last thing you bought for your apartment?
Or do you have your eyes set on something?
Until next time,
Mia ♥
